The National Observatory of Athens is founded in 1842, it is the oldest research foundation in Greece, as it was the first scientific research institute built after Greece became independent in 1829, and one of the oldest research institutes in Southern Europe. For 180 years offers its services to research, science, and society. This 25 min Planetarium show is dedicated to the history of National Observatory of Athens and it presents the modern and historical telescopes in Athens, Kryoneri and Helmos.

Film director Theofanis Matsopoulos has used hi-end fulldome video filming techniques that will take you on a journey through the infrastructures of Athens Observatory like never before!
 

The composer Konstantino Polizois has used  Dolby Atmos audio mix.
